Accessibility statement

The Galpals Collective Ltd

At The Galpals Collective Ltd, we are committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming and safe space for all women. We recognise that accessibility needs can vary, and we aim to be transparent about what we currently offer, as well as where we are still working to improve.

Our Building

Our space is located at:
2 King Street, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 2BA

Please note the following about our building:

  • Entry to the main space is via a ground-level entrance

  • Internal spaces are accessible by standard-width doorways

  • Some areas, such as the crèche, are located up a staircase and are not currently accessible by lift

  • We do not have an elevator in the building

We understand this may limit access for some individuals and we are always open to feedback on how we can improve in future.

Inside the Space

  • Seating and rest areas are available throughout

  • Toilets and changing areas are available but are not fully wheelchair accessible at this time

  • Lighting is soft and adjustable in most areas

  • We aim to keep noise levels gentle and calming in shared spaces

  • Signage is clear and we are happy to assist with directions or information

Sensory and Communication Needs

  • We aim to provide a calm, friendly and supportive environment

  • Our team are always happy to speak slowly, write things down, or repeat information where needed

  • If you would prefer to visit during quieter hours, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate

  • We welcome support persons or carers at no extra cost (please just notify us ahead of time)

Events and Classes

If you are attending an event, workshop or class and have any specific needs (mobility, hearing, sensory, etc.), please let us know in advance. We will always do what we can to support you.
